Roberta Solomon, Parkway West High School Class of 1971, was recognized on Nov. 9 as one of the 14 inductees into the 2024 Parkway Alumni Hall of Fame.
Solomon has carved an impressive path as a voiceover artist, lending her distinctive voice to promos and programs for every major television network. Her narration work has brought life to documentaries on A&E, the History Channel, NBC Sports, ESPN, National Geographic, and the Smithsonian Channel.
Solomon’s influence extends far and wide, even as she calls Overland Park, Kan., home. As the voice behind TV and radio stations across the country, she has become a familiar presence in media. During football season, her voice energizes fans as the sponsorship voice of the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network. Solomon’s illustrious career stands as a testament to her unique talent and wide-reaching impact, making her a fitting honoree at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in Creve Coeur.
