Zach Hearst’s film “Pineapple” swept the University of Arizona’s Magic Hour Awards with Best Film and Best Acting Ensemble.

The 2023 Magic Hour was a free screening of 11 short fiction films made by students in the School of Theatre, Film & Television. Hearst, the son of Renee Sigel-Hearst and Ken Hearst, will be a senior in the fall. His family attends Congregation B’nai Amoona.
