The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra announced the appointment of Alex Shapiro as chief philanthropy officer.
In this role he will report to the president and CEO and oversee a team of 16 working toward $10 million in annual giving, as well as the completion of the capital campaign for renovation and expansion of Powell Hall and building the endowment fund through legacy and planned gifts.
Shapiro was most recently the vice president of philanthropy with the Kansas City Symphony.
