Visiting cantors to perform with Shaare Emeth’s Warner
Published May 14, 2010
At 7 p.m. Sunday, May 23 Congregation Shaare Emeth’s Cantor Seth Warner will be joined by three of his colleagues for “Encore! Hearing is Believing.” The performers are Cantor Steven Weiss from Hingham, Mass.; Rabbi Cantor Alison Wissot from Tarzana, Calif. and Cantor Rosalie Will Boxt from Kensington, Md. Cantor Boxt, a native of St. Louis, will be returning to her childhood congregation to perform. St. Louisian Al Fischer will accompany the cantors on piano.
The theme of the evening’s music is hope, gratitude and understanding. Hebrew and English selections will be performed. Last year’s concert garnered such an overwhelming response that the cantors agreed to reprise the evening of new music and exquisite voices.
“Encore! Hearing is Believing” supports Congregation Shaare Emeth and is generously underwritten by the Sam and Goldye Rosen Music Fund.
Tickets are available for $18. Patron opportunities, including reserved seats and a special reception, are available. For reservations or more information, call the congregation at 314-569-0010.
