TI’s Kahn Foundation accepting grant proposals
Published November 27, 2013
The Nathan Kahn-Ernestine Kahn-Charles Kahn Foundation, established by Lina Kahn in 1990 as an endowed fund of Congregation Temple Israel, is now accepting concept papers for grant requests from non-profit organizations and agencies that provide aid, assistance, and relief to the elderly. Funds may be used for community programs, activities and purposes that are religious, social, educational, recreational, or related to health and wellness of the elderly.
Funds will be granted for a one-year period and may be considered for renewal. Grant requests are reviewed twice a year, and awards generally range from $1,000-$20,000. To be considered for the first round of grants for 2014, organizations must submit a one-page concept paper by Jan. 1, 2014, to the Kahn Foundation Committee, c/o Congregation Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Drive, St. Louis, Mo. 63141. Guidelines are available for download online at www.ti-stl.org/Kahn or by contacting Sydney Masin, 314-432-8050 or [email protected].
Since its inception the Kahn Foundation has awarded more than $2 million to agencies and organizations serving the elderly.
