The J plans 26th annual Tour de Fun

The Jewish Community Center will hold the 26th Annual Tour de Fun onSunday, Sept. 11 at the J’s Staenberg Family Complex, 2 Millstone Campus Drive. Planned by a committee of local dads, the event aims to offer action-packed fun for children age 10 and under and their families.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., children can enjoy a variety of activities, including rides and inflatables, a climbing wall, a variety of vehicles to explore (including an army tank and pirate ship), a Dunk-a-Dad booth, a HI-NRG Ninja Obstacle Course, booths with activities, pony rides, a petting zoo, and a kosher lunch for purchase from Kohn’s Kosher Meat and Deli, as well as cold treats from Frosty Treats.

Entertainers will perform throughout the event, including musician/comedian Babaloo and Rhythm ‘N’ Ruach and juggler and comic Joe Fingerhut. In addition, “Juggling Jeff” will be wandering the crowd to entertain children attending.

This year, Tour de Fun is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. Fifty pairs of “bigs” and “littles” will be enjoying the day at Tour de Fun and receiving the VIP treatment.

Early registration is recommended but not required. Tour de Fun is $10 per child if registered by Sept. 7 or $15 after. Adults are free. To register, visit tourdefun.com or call Marianne Chervitz at 314-442-3454 for more information.

All proceeds from the event support early childhood and family programming at the J.  This year’s event chairs are Eric Berger and Mike Minoff.  Tour de Fun is planned by the Ruth & Harold Sher Center of Jewish Life and supported by the J Associates.
