For more than 75 years, the St. Louis Jewish Light has been a cornerstone of community journalism, supporting local Jewish voices and shining a light on vital stories that matter to St. Louis Jews. But our mission extends beyond reporting headlines—we embrace the joys and challenges of Jewish journalism to foster understanding, spark meaningful dialogue and honor our shared heritage.
Stories that shape our community
Our stories explore a wide range of experiences, from the complex legacy of Charles Lindbergh in St. Louis to a local teacher turning a student’s Nazi salute into a transformative lesson on humanity and tolerance. On a lighter note, we’ve also chronicled the bittersweet closing of Frank & Helen’s, a beloved U. City restaurant that served up comfort food and cherished family memories for nearly 70 years, and have reported on literally hundreds of people who inspire us through their volunteerism as part of our annual salute to our community’s Unsung Heroes.
Why the Jewish Light needs your support
On this Giving Tuesday, we’re asking you to join us in this mission. Together, we can continue to embrace the joys and challenges of our community, shining a light on the narratives that define us. Please give today. Your donation, no matter the size, makes a significant difference.
