The St. Louis Rabbinical Association (SLRA) has elected Rabbi Noah Arnow as its new president. Arnow serves as the Senior Rabbi at Kol Rinah.
Other officers elected by the rabbis for the 2017-2018 year were Rabbi Roxanne Shapiro of United Hebrew Congregation as Vice President, Rabbi Jonah Zinn of Congregation Shaare Emeth as Treasurer and Rabbi Tracy Nathan of the Jewish Federation as Secretary. After two years as president, Rabbi Jim Bennett of Shaare Emeth becomes Immediate Past President. Rabbi James Stone Goodman of Congregation Neve Shalom moves off of the Executive Committee after eight years as an SLRA officer, including president.
The SLRA consists of more than 30 local rabbis and is the only rabbinical association in St. Louis open to all rabbis across the denominational spectrum. SLRA members serve Conservative, Orthodox, Reconstructionist, Reform, and Renewal congregations, and also at community institutions and agencies.
The association is a forum for professional rabbinic development and serves to teach and inspire the greater St. Louis Jewish community.
