Congregation Shaare Emeth is inviting community members of all ages to a day of communal gratitude on Sunday, Nov. 19, in the form of giving back to vital, local organizations.
From 10 to 11:30 a.m., participants can join in doing a variety of “give-back” projects such as:
- Assembling a mailing for Welcome Neighbor STL: Perfect for seniors
- Assembling Thanksgiving meals for senior refugees in St. Louis: All ages
- This year, 100 Thanksgiving meals will be assembled for the senior immigrants at Bilingual International Assistant Services (BIAS).
- Volunteers are needed to donate the cooked food items for these meals. Please click here to sign up.
- Assembling winter care kits for the unhoused: All ages
- Making blessing bags for those in need who stand at the on and off-ramps of our city: All ages
- Making animal toys for the Humane Society: Preschool and kindergarten families
- Gratitude bags for all the employees at Oak Hill Elementary School in the city: All ages
- Assemble entertainment bags for the Bennett project: All ages
- Assemble individual bags for the residents of Doorways/Cooper House: All ages
- Decorating and making activity boxes for A Red Circle: All Ages
- Assemble goody bags for Metro Trans Umbrella Group: All Ages
