The St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum is pushing back the date to present the 2024 Lutz Humanitarian Award from Nov. 19 to a new date sometime in 2025. This decision was made to better align with the availability of nominees, who have more flexibility in 2025.
But, the Nov. 19 date should remain on you calendar because the museum is now hosting a new program for its supporters. This program will honor the legacy of Carl Lutz and his heroic rescue efforts. As part of this special program, attendees will hear from a keynote speaker (to be announced in the coming days) and get a behind-the-scenes look at a one-of-a-kind Carl Lutz artifact recently acquired by the Museum.
“The Lutz Humanitarian Award is a cornerstone of our mission to recognize and celebrate those who embody the values of courage, compassion, and resilience,” said Executive Director Myron Freedman. “We are committed to ensuring that the 2025 ceremony reflects the significance of this award.”
The St. Louis Jewish Light will update this story in the near future and new information becomes available.
