Speaker series offers perspectives on life in Israel

Jewish Federation of St. Louis will offer two events focusing on “Life in Israel: Two Perspectives” as part of its SH’MA: Listen! Speaker Series – Israel Edition.
The first part, “Life From Within,” takes place Monday, June 8. Dovev Pe’er, expert Israeli tour guide and founder of Walk in Israel tour company, will discuss the beauty and challenges of life in Israel. Pe’er is the tour guide for The Rubin Israel Experience, as well as the tour guide for a Missouri legislators tour this month.
The second part, “Life From The Outside Looking In,” is set for Wednesday, June 24. Jewish Federation CEO and President Andrew Rehfeld will discuss the structure of the Israeli political system. State Sen. Gina Walsh, Minority Caucus Secretary of the Missouri Senate, and State Rep. Kevin Austin, a member of the Economic Development and Business Attraction and Retention committee, will speak about on their impressions from the Missouri legislators’ trip to Israel.
