Shaare Emeth offering three different types of High Holiday service experiences

William Motchan

This year, Congregation Shaare Emeth is offering a “hybrid High Holidays” schedule that will offer three unique worship experiences for participants – indoor services, covered outdoor services and live streaming – throughout Rosh Hashanah, which starts at sundown Sept. 6 and Yom Kippur, which starts at sundown Sept. 15.

In-person services:

Indoor services will take place in the Stiffman Sanctuary, while outdoor services will take place on the synagogue’s parking lot in a large, open-sided tent. Shaare Emeth’s outdoor services are designed around families, including its new, all-ages L’Dor VaDor services on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. All in-person services will be socially distanced and masked. To participate in indoor services, congregants and guests will need to submit proof of vaccination. Proof of vaccination is not required to participate in outdoor services.

Online streaming:

Every service at Shaare Emeth will also stream online at sestl.org/livestream, as well as on Shaare Emeth’s Facebook page. Streaming participants can pick up prayerbooks in advance at Shaare Emeth.
