Psychotherapist leads monthly groups at TI

Jan Nykin, M.Ed., LCSW, a psychotherapist in private practice who also has para-rabbinic certification, is leading two groups which meet monthly at Temple Israel. Both groups are open to the community:
• Life in Transition meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at Congregation Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Dr. in Creve Coeur. The group is for individuals who are coping with a recent loss, whether through death, divorce, unemployment, retirement, or any other life circumstance. The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Feb.7, March 6, May 1 and June 5 at Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Drive.
• Exploring Life’s Journey meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at Congregation Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Dr. in Creve Coeur. This group is for individuals who are interested in exploring life’s lessons and purposes, spirituality, Jewish meditation and other related topics.
Exploring Life’s Journey meets the third Tuesday of each month, Feb. 21, March 20, April 17, May 15 and June 19 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Temple Israel. Both groups are free and open to the community. For more information, call 314-432-8050.
