NCJW-St. Louis Section begins a new bi-monthly session of the Wife-Widow-Woman support group for recently widowed women. The goal of the group is to bridge the gap between grief and growth reducing the sense of isolation from loss. Led by an experienced social worker and grief counselor, the Wife-Widow-Women program helps participant’s become functioning, independent single women in a coupled world. “The Wife-Widow-Women group has proven to be extremely helpful to those who need unique support during a difficult time,” says group leader Leslie Weinstein.
Recently widowed women are welcome to participate and may be of any age, race or religious background. There is no cost to join the group as it is underwritten by Nardie and Sally Stein in memory of Jean Stein Bloch.
