The Lens, a leadership program for adults in their 20s who are interested in issues of community change, is seeking applicants. This three-part interactive program, sponsored by the Millstone Institute for Jewish Leadership, will be held in October 2011. Times and locations will be announced. The Lens will use photography as a metaphor for participants putting their own “lens” to explore St. Louis and the Jewish community’s response to current challenges.
Training and “exposure” to community leaders will focus on enhancing skills and developing networks related to professional and volunteer work. Training will be led by Allison Collinger of,AHC Consulting, who brings an innovative approach to strategic communications, emerging media and community issues. Space is limited to 12 adults who represent diverse interests, experiences and involvements throughout the St. Louis Jewish and/or secular community and are interested in making St. Louis a more viable city.
To apply, visit www.jewishinstlouis.org/Millstone/TheLens or contact Karen Sher at [email protected] or 442-3824. Deadline for application is September 15 and the program will begin in mid-October. There is a $50 materials fee.
