Light’s party-planning showcase event debuts April 14

Jewish Light Staff

This month, the Jewish Light is introducing a new party-planning expo, PartyPalooza!, which will bring more than 60 exhibitors to the Crown Plaza in Clayton. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, the community is invited to the free party-planning showcase to schmooze with representatives from a wide variety of event services. We spoke with Beth Feldman, the Light’s Events Coordinator, to get a better sense of what the event is all about.

What can visitors to PartyPalooza! expect?

We have over 60 exhibitors showcasing their party-related businesses. We are planning a fun-filled event with lots of surprises. We’ll have live demonstrations and entertainment, as well.

What kinds of exhibitors/vendors will be there?

We will have venues, DJs, party planners, caterers, other food vendors — expect some great-tasting treats to sample — photographers, as well as giveaways, hair and makeup artists, wedding and special occasion dresses, artists, jewelers, bands and photo booths.

Is this only for people planning Jewish occasions? Absolutely not — all of our exhibitors cater to the general public.  These party-related businesses cater to all of your party needs, including wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation, Sweet 16 and any other kind of party you can imagine.

Why did the Jewish Light decide to hold this event?

The Jewish Light is more than printed words on a page… we love to get out and connect with the public, to see what the needs are within the community.  We can’t think of a more exciting way to connect than with a giant PartyPalooza party!

Will this event be helpful for party planners on a limited budget?

With such a wide array of exhibitors, we have something for everyone.  Take venues for instance… you can plan your party at an upscale hotel, or at a kid-friendly pizza parlor.

And…what everyone would like to know…will there be samples?

There will be some yummy treats to sample — what kind of fun is a party without good food? And, readers will want to also note our prize drawing:  All visitors will be entered to win our prize basket.
