Jewish Student Union holds benefit dinner

The Jewish Student Union of St. Louis will hold its annual benefit gala, “Inspiring…a Jewish Tomorrow,” March 9 at the Coronado Ballroom. Michael and Carol Staenberg will be honored, with a special tribute to Rick Kodner and Gail Brody.

“This year’s gala will focus on inspiring Jewish leaders, thinkers and innovators of tomorrow,” said Melanie Winograd, co-chair of the event. “We are thrilled to honor St. Louis’ most influential leaders and sustainers of our Jewish Community — Michael and Carol Staenberg, Rick Kodner and Gail Brody.  Their contributions to the Jewish community today will strengthen and inspire Jewish leaders tomorrow.”

In addition, Danielle Bialecki, co-chair of the event, said the occasion would mark the inauguration of the Meira Bressler Reimer Scholarship Fund, which will give teens the opportunity to visit, love and become inspired by Israel. “Meira was an inspirational young leader who exuded love for Judaism and Israel,” said Bialecki.
