Jewish Federation hosts sessions on key topics from local Jewish Community Study

Jewish Federation of St. Louis invites the community to attend a three-part series of targeted presentations about the St. Louis Jewish Community Study. Each session will begin with study’s findings related to a specific topic, followed by brief remarks from professionals relating the findings to their work in the field. They will all conclude with participant Q&A and input.
• Monday, April 20 — 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Jewish Federation of St. Louis Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive: “Human Services — Poverty, Hunger, Social Services and Seniors” will be the subject of a panel discussion featuring Lou Albert, Executive Director of Jewish Family & Children’s Service; Joan Denison, Executive Director of Covenant Place; and Nikki Goldstein, Executive Director of Crown Center for Senior Living.
• Wednesday, April 29 — 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Congregation B’nai Amoona, 324 S Mason Road in Creve Coeur: “Jewish Identity and Engagement – Intermarriage, Formal and Informal Education, Synagogue Membership and Ritual Practice” will be discussed by Rabbi Yaakov Green, Head of School at Epstein Hebrew Academy; Rabbi Brad Horwitz, Director of Jewish Engagement and Adult Programs at the Jewish Community Center; and Leslie Wolf, Director of the Deutsch Early Childhood Center at Temple Israel.
• Wednesday, May 27 — 7 to 8:30 pm at a location to be determined: “Young Adults – Demography, Geography and Engagement” will be discussed by Lee’at Bachar, Development Associate at Jewish Federation of St. Louis; Rabbi Ari Kaiman of B’nai Amoona; Rabbi Deana Sussman of Central Reform Congregation; and Rabbi Jonah Zinn of Congregation Shaare Emeth.
