JCC pushes to complete $49 million campaign

The St. Louis Jewish Community Center has launched its “EveryBody Counts” campaign to raise the $4 million still required to reach its fundraising goal in its $49 million capital campaign. “We want to thank those who have generously supported the campaign,” said JCC Board Chair Michael Staenberg. “More than 90 percent of the initial $49 million dollar campaign has already been raised, which will go towards our vision of reinvigorating the JCC with state-of-the-art facilities and programming.”

The EveryBody Counts portion of the campaign will be chaired by Michael Staenberg along with Diane and Paul Gallant. Paul Gallant is a past board chair of the JCC and Diane Gallant is a former board member. Most recently, the couple chaired KaleidoFest, the community’s celebration honoring Israel 60th birthday. This May, the largest component of the campaign -the Staenberg Family Complex Fitness and Wellness Building — will debut on the I. E. Millstone Campus.

In addition to the Staenberg Family Complex, funds from the initial campaign have also been used to update the Marilyn Fox Building in Chesterfield and at the 300-acre Camp Sabra at the Lake of the Ozarks. The funds will also boost the JCC endowment by $6 million to ensure that the quality of programming remains strong.
