J plans community events for Israel Memorial and Israel Independence Days

Join the entire St. Louis Jewish community on Tuesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. to honor and remember those who have sacrificed for the State of Israel with a special ceremony in the J’s Arts & Education Building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive.
Then, the following evening, Wednesday, May 8 join in the fun for an Israeli Carnival in celebration of Israel’s 71st Anniversary held in the J’s gym at the Staenberg Family Complex as well. Both programs are free and open to the public.
Doors open for the Israeli Carnival at 5:30 p.m. and stage performances and Eurovision Israeli Dance party will begin at 7. Activities include a photo booth, interactive children activity stations, Israeli art and jewelry bazaar, Yossi’s Dessert Watering Hole for the 21 plus crowd, teen lounge and more. Falafel and hummus will be available for purchase.
These programs are generously funded by the Lubin Green Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis and presented by the J’s Ruth & Harold Sher Center of Jewish Life.
