Israel speaker series continues with Miri Eisin

Jewish Federation of St. Louis will host a meaningful conversation on the domestic and regional challenges Israel faces at 67 as part of the SH’MA: Listen! Speaker Series – Israel Edition. Former Israeli military intelligence officer Miri Eisin will discuss what those challenges are, and how they influenced Israeli voters in the last election, during a presentation at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at the Jewish Federation Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive.

Eisin served in the Israeli intelligence community and retired from active duty at the rank of full colonel in 2004. Over her 20-year career in the military, she served as the deputy head of the combat intelligence corps, as the personal assistant to the director of military intelligence and as the intelligence officer in combat units and research departments. After retiring from the military, Eisin served as the Israeli Prime Minister’s international media advisor from the Second Lebanon War until the end of 2007.
