Nearly 120 music lovers gathered at the Mirowitz Center on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 22, to hear a performance from St. Louis pianist Ethan Leinwand.
According to Leinwand, a Jewish historian who studies and performs ragtime, barrelhouse blues and boogie-woogie, our greatest local export is not beer, but rather St. Louis-style blues piano.
The concert was an encore for Leinwand, who played to a packed house at Mirowitz Center in July 2023. Leinwand was accompanied by his wife, Valerie Kirchhoff, who also leads the popular blues and jazz band Miss Jubilee.
