Human needs allocation committee recruiting at-large members
Published October 20, 2016
The Robert P. Jacobs Jewish Fund for Human Needs (JFHN) allocates grants to non-Jewish grassroots social service organizations in the St. Louis region that respond to the most basic of human needs, such as providing medicine for the uninsured, food for the hungry and shelter for the homeless. The fund is co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council and the St. Louis Rabbinical Association, with financial support from the Jewish Federation of St. Louis and its Lubin-Green Foundation.
The JFHN Allocations Committee is seeking three new at-large members to begin in early 2017. Responsibilities include helping to screen potential agencies to be funded, attending a minimum of six site visits a year to potential recipient agencies and attending an allocations meeting twice a year.
The committee reflects a diverse cross section of the Jewish community; members serve for a term of three years.
