Following the Oct. 7 attacks, the Federation’s campaign, chaired by Abby Goldstein and Tim Stern, raised over $7.3 million to support Israel. This initiative underscores the community’s solidarity and response to global crises.
Teen engagement programs
With a $400,000 investment, the Federation’s teen programs saw 96% of participants report an increased understanding of Jewish values, and 97% made new friends, fostering a stronger community bond.
Community security enhancements
Securing over $700,000 in FEMA NSGP grants and an additional $200,000 through the Department of Elementary Education, the Federation has significantly upgraded security measures for Jewish institutions in St. Louis and beyond.
Annual campaign success
The 2023 campaign, spearheaded by Joe Pereles and Toby Warticovschi, garnered more than $8.76 million from over 3,000 donors, funding essential services and programs for the Jewish community.
“We could not have achieved this without the incredible support from our community partners and the over 3,000 donors who supported our annual campaign,” said Karen Sher, vice president of Community Impact. “We are poised to further our impact in 2024 and beyond.”
