The St. Louis Holocaust Survivors and Descendants Group will hold a Hanukkah party from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Jewish Federation building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive. The group is actively seeking new members — Holocaust survivors, their children, grandchildren and other family members are welcomed.

“In spite of our tragic  history, we come together to celebrate our lives and find joy in participating in social, cultural and learning experiences,” said Survivors and Descendants group member Helene Gottesman. “Since many of our survivors have passed and thus can no longer tell their own stories, the descendants, the younger generations, must try to keep their memories alive,” by pass their stories on to future generations.
