B’nai B’rith St. Louis and the St. Louis Jewish Light will present the fourth annual December DecaDANCE on Wednesday, Dece.24 from 8 p.m. – midnight at the Marriott St. Louis Airport Hotel.
The popular Jewish singles soiree is sponsored this year by B’nai El Congregation, jewishinstlouis.org and the Fox Family Foundation, in partnership with Sparks Matchmaking Service and the JCC.
While many traditions of the dance will continue again this year — Utopia Entertainment and DJ dancing; a decadent dessert buffet, expanded to include sugar-free items; a (dark) chocolate fountain; and a cash bar with the events signature drinks, The Mazeltini and Glass of Choliday Cheer — there has been one major change made to meet the needs of the community.
In response to the current economic situation, the advance ticket price for the dance has been lowered to just $18 (Chai ) for all persons who pre-register with payment by midnight on Dec. 20, a decrease of more than 25 percent from last year’s fee.
Those interested in attending the dance may register online at www.bnaibrithstl.org using a credit card or PayPal. A registration form for those who prefer to pay by check can be downloaded and mailed.
Persons who decide to pay at the door will be charged Double Chai ($36)and must do so in cash as no other forms of payment will be accepted.
Once again there will be raffle auction featuring jewelry and other items ranging in value from $50 – $100. Tickets will be $1 each/six for $5, with revenues designated to the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO).
The dance will be promoted to Jewish singles throughout the Midwest.
Those persons traveling a distance may choose to reserve a room at the hotel for $79.
