ElderLink, CRC offer ‘Taking Care Of Your Parents’ support group

ElderLink St. Louis, a program providing coordinated resources for Jewish seniors, and Central Reform Congregation invite the public to attend an informative four-week support group for caregivers of aging parents. Entitled “Taking Care of Your Aging Parents . . . And You,” the sessions will begin Wednesday, June 29, and continue on Wednesdays, July 6, 13 and 27. Support group sessions will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at CRC, 5020 Waterman Boulevard.

These support group sessions will afford participants the chance to connect with others who are dealing with similar issues or situations. They also will learn the best practices in care-giving, resources available to help them, as well as how to maintain their own sense of balance and well-being. Support group facilitator will be Sylvia Nissenboim, a licensed social worker and counselor, life coach, older adult care coordinator and former director of the JCC Adult Day Program.

There is no charge for the support group series, but group size will be limited and reservations are requested. For questions or to register, contact ElderLink at 314-812-9300 or [email protected].
