Crown Center for Senior Living, 8350 Delcrest Drive, is sponsoring a speaker series, which features local Jewish congregational leaders. First up is Rabbi Mordecai Miller of Brith Sholom Kneseth Israel on March 14, followed by Hazzan Joanna Selznick Dulkin of Shaare Zedek on May 22, Rabbi Hyim Shafner from Bais Abraham Congregation on Aug. 29 and Rabbi Ze’ev Smason from Nusach Hari B’nai Zion in November (date to be determined). All of the speakers will address the series theme, “What Can We Learn from this Cast of Characters?”  Topics include “How our Patriarchs Serve as Role Models,” “Is G-d a Democrat or a Republican?” a Shavuot discussion on The Book of Ruth and “Jews in India.”  Community participants are invited to attend.
