Sheldon Low to perform at Kol Am for Shabbat service

Contemporary Jewish musician Sheldon Low will lead a special Kabbalat Shabbat Service at Congregation Kol Am at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10. The service, which is open to the community free of charge, will take place in the Sirota Sanctuary of the congregation’s new synagogue building, 1023 Chesterfield Parkway East, in Chesterfield. Global warming film set

Temple Emanuel offers A Taste of Judaism

Rabbi Joshua Taub, senior rabbi of Temple Emanuel, will teach a four-part series entitled “A Taste of Judaism.” The sessions will be held 10:10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and 19 and Dec. 3 and 10. Shir Hadash Thanksgiving

Day of Discovery for teens

The second annual Yom Limmud: A Day of Discovery for Jewish Teens will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Road. Yom Limmud is for Jewish teens in grades eight-12 (plus a bagel brunch). It will feature 20 workshops and the Israel & Summer Opportunities Fair with representatives of Jewish summer and Israel programs available to teens.
