Jewish Light welcomes new columnist, Amy Fenster Brown

Ellen Futterman, Editor

We are thrilled to welcome Amy Fenster Brown to the Jewish Light as a regular monthly columnist. Anyone familiar with Amy knows how funny and self-effacing she can be, and our guess is she soon will become a reader favorite.

A 2015 Light Unsung Hero, Amy’s first question when she was told about the honor: “Who would be delusional enough to nominate me?”

Organizations that have benefited from her volunteerism include the National Council for Jewish Women-St. Louis, the Young Professionals Division of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, West County Day School, J Associates, Congregation Temple Israel, the Josie Foundation, Highcroft Ridge Elementary School, AMC Cancer Research Center, the Judevine Center, the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Toys for Tots.

She also is no stranger to media, having worked in local television news at Channels 30, 4 and 5, where she garnered nine Emmy nominations. She now works at St. Louis Bride magazine.

Check out her first “Notes from a Jewish Mother” column on Page 12. Also, drop her an email and tell her what you think (be nice) at [email protected].
