At a recent Jewish Federation Shma: Listen! Speaker Series event, Israeli speaker Dean Miroshnikov talked about his experience as an immigrant from Ukraine, making aliyah when he was 9, and about his time as a commando in the Israeli Defense Forces. He spoke about how becoming  seriously injured during his IDF service helped him find the strength to follow his dreams to become an actor.
