Margi’s Favorite Smoothie Combinations

Each smoothie makes two to three adult servings. Layer ingredients in your blender in the order listed:

Smoothie 1:

1/2 cup coconut water

1 cup low-fat plain yogurt

1 medium carrot, scraped and cut into chunks

1 cup packed fresh spinach leaves

1 tbsp. chia seeds

1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

1 medium peeled and frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen unsweetened blueberries

1/4 cup frozen mango cubes

Smoothie 2:

1/2 cup tap water

2 tbsp. unsweetened coconut flakes

1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt

1 half-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled

1/2 medium carrot, scraped and cut into chunks

1 medium apple, cored and cut into eighths

2 large handfuls coarsely chopped kale

4-8 fresh mint leaves

2 tbsp. unsalted almonds

1½ frozen unsweetened strawberries
