Ha-Shemesh (The Sun) has performed for families and organizations throughout St. Louis as well as in Kansas City and various cities in Illinois since the mid-1970s. Our repertoire includes music of liturgy and folk songs of the Jewish people in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino and English.

Performances include Shabbat and other holiday services at many local synagogues, other synagogue celebrations and fundraising events, and private family simchas including bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, and other family celebrations. Ha-Shemesh has also performed at the International Institute’s Festival of Nations, the Missouri Botanical Garden’s annual Festival of Lights Chanukah celebration, the annual Shabbat St. Louis community-wide Shabbat service, events with the Circle of Jewish Music, St. Louis’s First Night celebrations, and other community-wide events.
