World War II historical fiction novel discussion
Rachel Zolotov was born and raised in St. Louis in a Belarussian family that came here through Jewish Federation’s Russian Resettlement Program in 1979. Ten years later, Zolotov’s parents sponsored the resettlement of the rest of their family, including Zolotov’s great-grandmother Raisa, who later inspired her to research her family’s experience in World War II. This research is the basis of Zolotov’s historical fiction novel, “The Girl With The Silver Star.”
Join Zolotov from 3 to 4 p.m. as she discusses her book and the story that inspired it. To register for this free, online Mirowitz Center program, visit http://bit.ly/Mirowitz-registration, call 314-733-9813 or email [email protected].
