Zach Zlepper and Amelia Nathan have announced their engagement.
Zach is the son of Denise Meckler and Myles Zlepper of St. Louis. He is the grandson of Barbara and the late Donald Meckler of Cleveland, and Terry and Eleanor Zlepper of St. Louis.
Amelia is the daughter of Charles and Robyn Nathan of Atlanta. She is the granddaughter of the late Barry and Audrey Nathan of Port Elizabeth, South Africa; and Jennifer and the late Rod Copeland of Durban, South Africa.
Zach attended John Burroughs School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in applied math and statistics from the University of Washington in Seattle. He works as a data scientist for Palantir in Chicago.
Amelia received a Bachelor of Science degree in applied math from the University of Washington in Seattle. She works at Endeavor Health’s innovation team in Chicago.
The couple met through Hillel at University of Washington in Seattle and soon after meeting, endured a long-distance relationship during COVID, and again after graduation commuting between Seattle and Chicago. They are both living in Chicago currently.
On their fifth anniversary, during a trip to Cozumel, Zach arranged a private beach proposal with a photographer. A June 2026 wedding is planned.
