Szteinberg-Mirowitz Engagement

Gaby Szteinberg and Zachary Mirowitz have announced their engagement.
Gaby is the daughter of Anita Bursztyn of Cochabamba, Bolivia, and Eduardo Szteinberg of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is the granddaughter of the late Gerda Bursztyn and Chaim Bursztyn of Cochabamba, and the late Raquel and Jacobo Szteinberg of Buenos Aires.
Zachary is the son of Maxine and Steven Mirowitz of St. Louis. He is the grandson of Judy Sontag, and the late Donald Sontag, and the late Joan Sontag, and Helene Mirowitz and the late Carl Mirowitz.
Gaby earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry at Lawrence University, and a Ph.D. in chemical education at Purdue University. She is currently working as an Assistant Dean at the College of Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis.
Zachary graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering, and he earned a degree in computer science from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He now works as a software engineer at Tapestry Solutions, a Boeing subsidiary company.
The couple met online during the pandemic on JSwipe, and had their first date biking around Forest Park while fully masked. Seven months later Zach proposed to Gaby at Forest Park on another memorable bike excursion — it’s been a wonderful ride!
A February 2022 wedding is planned.
