Joel Portman, son of Ronald and Marsha (z’’l) Portman of St. Louis, and Alicia Bach, daughter of Jill and Alan Bach of Dallas, have announced their engagement.

Joel is the grandson of the late Marvin and the late Shirley Portman and the late Herbert and the late Selma Jagust, all of St. Louis.

Alicia is the granddaughter of Bernice and the late Milton Bach of Atlanta, and Alan and the late Glenda Kaplan of Dallas.

The groom-to-be graduated from Parkway West High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in international studies and his Master of Business Administration degree, both from the University of Denver. He is employed at Centene Corporation as Vice President, Network Development and Product Strategy Officer.

The bride-to-be graduated from Lakehill Preparatory School in Dallas. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Brandeis University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. She is employed by MU HealthCare as a Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist.

A June 2023 wedding is being planned.
