Rebecca Lynn Hirschfeld and Joseph Monteforte were married Feb. 19, 2022 at South Ponto Beach in Carlsbad, Calif.

Rebecca is the daughter of Adrienne and Mark Hirschfeld of Ladue. Joseph is the son of Camelia and the late Patrick Monteforte of Venice, Fla.

The bride’s sister, Danielle Lerner, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Ellen Clifford, Penny Kuykendall and Shauna Monteforte. Groomsmen were Dave Stevenson, Mike Lipka and Jack Rickard. Patrick Monteforte was best man.

Twins Hannah and Natalie Lerner, the bride’s nieces, and Claire Monteforte, the groom’s niece, were flower girls. Dylan Monteforte, the groom’s nephew, was ring bearer. The bride’s brothers Matthew and Joshua Hirschfeld were ushers. Bryan Bertone officiated.

The bride wore a white satin gown from BHLDN. The beach ceremony was followed by a cocktail reception and dinner at the Westin Carlsbad Hotel. Friend and television star Karla Mosley serenaded the couple with Stephen Sondheim’s “Being Alive.” The couple, who wrote their own wedding vows, danced their first dance to Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic.”

After the wedding, the couple honeymooned at Moana Surfrider, Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. The couple resides in Encinitas, Calif.
