Ari Bernstein, son of Jen and Scott Bernstein of St. Louis, became a bar mitzvah on May 28, 2022 at Congregation B’nai Amoona. Ari is the grandson of Susie and the late Rik Knopf of St. Louis, and Mitch and Melanie Bernstein of St. Louis. A rising eighth grader at Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School, Ari loves playing hockey and golf, going to concerts, attending Blues and Cardinals games, aviation, playing video games and hanging out with friends and his rescue dog, Scout.

For his mitzvah project, Ari is donating a portion of his bar mitzvah gifts to the St. Louis Rockets 47 Fund, his hockey organization’s scholarship fund. He and a friend also had a craft stand where they sold stress balls, friendship bracelets and masks. They donated proceeds from the craft stand to Stray Rescue.
