NJT presents pre-season cabaret event

Prior to the opening of the first production of its 16th season, the New Jewish Theatre will present “Cabaret NJT”, an evening of music and song, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9. Some of the best cabaret talent St. Louis has to offer (all alumni from previous NJT musical productions) will perform from the shows they were in during an evening of music and entertainment that runs the gamut from Broadway to cabaret and includes wine and dessert in the price of the ticket.

The event will feature accomplished cabaret artists including Johanna Elkana-Hale (“Last of the Red Hot Mamas”), Elise LaBarge (“Last of the Red Hot Mamas”), Tim Schall (“Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh”) and Jeff Wright (“The Last Five Years”) along with the musical accompaniment of Steve Neale at the keyboard.

As a prelude to the new NJT season, the cabaret is a great way to get an inkling of what in store. Tickets are priced as follows:

• General admission – $40, includes complimentary drink and dessert

• Premium – $65 per ticket, premium seating, above plus bottle of wine or Champagne per table

• Cabaret Sponsor – $250 for two tickets, above plus pre-concert reception with performers, premium table location and name recognition in program

Additional wine will be available for purchase.

“Cabaret NJT” will be held in the Mirowitz Performing Arts Center of the Staenberg Family Complex of the Jewish Community Center, 2 Millstone Campus Drive in Creve Coeur. For tickets and information about the Cabaret or the NJT Season, call the box office at 314-442-3283.
