Michael Staenberg appears on Fox 2 to discuss big shows coming to The Factory

Philanthropist and real estate developer Michael Staenberg, the namesake of the Staenberg Family Complex, appeared on Fox 2‘s morning news broadcast with an update on the upcoming slate of major music shows coming to The Factory in the coming weeks.

According to Fox 2, the concert hall is gaining popularity after hosting some of the biggest shows going on in the world of entertainment.

“We bought The District 4 or 5 years ago and decide that West County and the St. Louis region really needed an opportunity to have a ground-up, rock-n-roll facility,” said Staenberg in his interview with Ty Hawkins. “And that’s just what we did. It’s the first venue like this built in the St. Louis metropolitan area in 25 years.”

The Factory is not only a music venue but is available for comedy shows, private events and more. It can accommodate groups as small as 75 people to as large as many 3,000 people.

“It’s a facility that is very versatile yet gives the intimacy and the opportunity to have great sound, great music, great lighting and I think the artists really appreciate it because we built it from the ground up,” said Staenberg on Fox 2’s morning newscast.

Staenberg says his mission in creating The Factory is to make the St. Louis region better.

“And that’s what I’m most proud of. It’s beautiful inside and specifically made to bring out the industrial look of the building,” said Staenberg. “But more importantly it’s a facility that welcomes everyone and that’s what I want. We have all different types of music genres coming in, and you won’t find a better, more state-of-art facility in the area.”
