With the renovation of THE beautiful Staenburg Kooper Fellman JCC in Omaha almost being complete, we can wonder: what else is Michael Staenberg up to? One place his focus is on is a place called ‘The District.’

The District in Chesterfield, Missouri is a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination with live music, exceptional food and beverage, family-friendly attractions and a great mix of retail offerings.

The “front door” of The District will feature an eye-catching outdoor pavilion with a large LED screen and stage, fire pits, cabanas, and plenty of space perfect for gatherings and events.  Flanking the pavilion will be four iconic sit-down restaurants and a brewery/social hall and beer garden. This will be the heart of The District and a culinary mecca for the Saint Louis area.

The next anchor will be an entertainment concept focused on Pickleball.  The facility will be 40,000 to 60,000 square feet and feature both indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, as well as yard games and a food and beverage component.

With Top Golf and IFly immediately adjacent, The District will not only be the ultimate entertainment destination in the St. Louis area but also the first project anywhere with this many entertainment anchor tenants in one location.

As of this past month, it also houses a beautiful, modern and inviting art gallery and showroom. The current exhibit features a portion of Michael Staenberg’s extensive personal collection, featuring works by local, regional, and international artists. When you visit the gallery, you will enjoy a diverse selection of eclectic paintings, sculptures and photography covering a range of subject matter and mediums that are available for purchase.

“I’ve known Michael for a long time,” Gallery operator Maneta Siegel said. “When I realized what the District was growing into, I told him: ‘you need to add an art gallery!’ Michael has always had such a love for art, this is a great match. We are all very excited by The Gallery and the impact that it is already having on The District.”

“The Gallery is a labor of love for me,” Michael said. “Hopefully, it will evoke emotion in everyone who enters. This art was not being honored just sitting in storage waiting for the right place to be installed. My hope is that this is a place for people to enjoy it, and have the opportunity to purchase it if it truly speaks to them.”

The Gallery hosted its official grand opening Saturday, November 6 and featured a number of local, national, and international artists with works that range from paintings to sculptures and everything in between.

“We offer a variety of art, including Rocker Art, music-themed art, modern, abstract as well as custom, commissioned works,” Maneta said. “Please come visit us in person, check our website, or schedule a private appointment! We can’t wait to welcome you!”
