Jewish Song of the Week: A tune to get you ready for Rosh Hashanah

We are a little more than two weeks away from Rosh Hashanah and the start of a new year on the Hebrew calendar.

As such, Rick Recht, the executive director of JKids RadioJewish Rock Radio and Songleader Boot Camp, has selected, as our latest Jewish Song of the Week, a tune by Billy Jonas, a singer-songwriter for whom “each concert is a soul-spelunking, heart healing, joy-filled journey,” according to his website.

Recht explains why he selected one of Jonas’ songs:

“With the Jewish New Year fast approaching, another cycle of amazing Jewish holidays are about to begin! My longtime friend and an incredible songwriter, Billy Jonas, wrote this song called ‘Toot the Horn’ that summarizes EVERY Jewish holiday in just three words – a perfect family song with Rosh Hashanah just a few weeks away!” Recht wrote.
