UJA-Federation of New York to award $1 million in college scholarships

NEW YORK (JTA) — The UJA-Federation of New York will award $1 million in college scholarships to more than 400 students at its 19th annual scholarship presentation.
Scholarships from this year’s Rose Biller Endowment Fund range from $1,500 to $5,000 based on a student’s needs. The scholarships, for undergraduate and graduate students, will be awarded in conjunction with the Biller nonprofit career fair on Thursday.
The scholarship awards program is administered by the Hebrew Free Loan Society.
