JERUSALEM (JTA) — One Israeli was killed and at least five wounded, one seriously, in a shooting and stabbing terror attack at the Central Bus Station in Beersheba in Israel’s south.
One of the assailants in Sunday night’s attack carried a gun and the second a knife, though he reportedly grabbed an M-16 rifle from a soldier during the attack. One of the attackers was shot and critically injured at the scene, and the other was killed during a shootout with police, police said.
It is not known how the attackers entered the bus station with weapons since security guards are posted at all entrances.

Palestinian protesters rioted Sunday evening in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Tulkarem, throwing rocks, firebombs and burning tires at Israeli soldiers and security officers.
