Jewish day school students from Epstein Hebrew Academy and Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School came together at the Jewish Community Center’s Staenberg Family Complex for the annual Yachad event, planned by Torah Mitzion Kollel. Students from Yeshivat Kadimah High School assisted in the event, which is held in honor of Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day. Groups of students went through different stations and booths to learn about Israel through a variety of activities. The students then gathered in the gymnasium for a closing event and “Daglanot,”  a flag march. At one booth, children made fleece blankets that will be shipped and given out to “at risk” kids  from St. Louis’ sister city, Yokneam-Megiddo.  Photos: Mike Sherwin
