I read with great interest the article about Stanley Estrin reading from every Torah portion (“Milestone on the bimah,” June 18). Congratulations to Stanley, a great guy and a relative of mine (by marriage).
I would be remiss, however, if I did not mention the Ba’al Korei who started at Traditional Congregation, then went to Shaare Zedek, then went to Kol Rinah, who has accomplished the same feat several times over: Marvin Lerner is a quiet and unassuming person and a great Torah reader, who I feel deserves to be recognized as well. Thank you.
