Letter to the Editor: Thanking sponsors of ‘Start Up Nation’ author’s talk at Wash.U.
Published March 23, 2011
Thank you for the wonderfully comprehensive article, by Robert A. Cohn, Editor-in-Chief Emeritus St. Louis Jewish Light, in the March 9th edition of the Jewish Light. The article, with great clarity, conveyed the answers to those important questions, as delivered at a lecture on March 3, by Dan Senor, co-author, with Saul Singer, of the book “Start Up Nation”.
Over 300 people attended the Senor lecture in Graham Chapel. Through the article in the Jewish Light, many thousands more learned the important story of Israel’s achievements in the technological sector. I know I speak on behalf of the broad array of sponsors of the Senor Lecture in thanking the Jewish Light for so greatly expanding the reach of the event.
The lecture was part of Washington University’s Assembly Series. Washington University sponsors for the Senor program included: WU Students for Israel, Jewish Student Union, Chabad Student Association, St. Louis Hillel at Washington University,
Delta Sigma Pi, and the Olin Business School. The Jewish Community Relations Council’s Israel Business and Technology Committee (JCRC/IBTEC) with the support of the Mildred Herbert and Julian Simon Foundation was a community co-sponsor of the event
