A note of thanks
Thanks to the Jewish Light for publicizing the at-large opening on the allocation committee of the Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs Jewish Fund for Human Needs (JFHN). It was extremely gratifying to see the large outpouring of interest in this position.
Since 1985, the JFHN has been able to provide small grants to organizations with little or no Jewish presence to support their work providing the most basic of human needs. We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Lubin-Green Foundation, the Jewish Federation of St. Louis and the St. Louis Rabbinical Association. As a result of this support, the Fund, staffed jointly by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Saint Louis and the SLRA, has been able to award over $600,000 to over 150 social services organizations in the greater St. Louis community.
