We were delighted to see Rabbi Deborah Waxman’s commentary on “Why the Reconstructionist Movement is rebranding” in the Jan. 31 issue of the Jewish Light. We want the St. Louis community to know that there is a strong local Reconstructionist presence. Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Community is a 12-year-old congregation located at the J’s Staenberg Family Complex Arts and Education Building. 

As Rabbi Waxman emphasized in her commentary, we “do Jewish” at Shir Hadash in a variety of ways and encourage individuals to find the path and sense of purpose that is most meaningful to them.
